Manchester City Football Club has confirmed that it has signed a contract with Kalvin Phillips, a former Leeds player.

After agreeing on personal terms and passing medical examinations, 26-year-old English footballer Kalvin Phillips left Leeds, where he started his career, and signed a six-year contract with City. Citizens did not provide financial details, and British media reported that the transfer is worth between 45 and 50 million pounds.

“I am absolutely delighted to be joining Manchester City. “City have proven once again that they are the best team in the country with an incredible squad and a coach who is rightly regarded as the best in the world,” Phillips told the club’s website.

He pointed out that he is happy to work with coach Pep Guardiola and to be able to learn from him and his coaching staff.

“City are a world-class club and it’s a dream come true to be here.” “I can’t wait to play and try to help the team continue to achieve success,” Phillips said.

During eight seasons at Elland Road, Phillips played 234 games and registered 14 goals and assists.
